Gyros Kebab Grill

Overview

Walking into Gyros Kebab Grill for the first time, the smell hits you before the menu even does. Warm pita, slow-roasted meat, garlic, and spices fill the room in a way that instantly sets expectations high. This spot sits at 6815 196th St SW G, Lynnwood, WA 98036, United States, and it has quietly become a go-to for locals who want food that feels filling, familiar, and genuinely cared for.

I’ve eaten here more times than I can count, usually after a long day when I want something comforting but not heavy in the fast-food sense. The gyro meat is shaved fresh, not sitting around drying out, and the kebabs are grilled to order. You can actually see the process, which adds confidence. According to food handling guidelines published by organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, freshness and proper temperature control are key factors in both safety and flavor, and this place clearly takes that seriously.

The menu is straightforward without being boring. Gyro plates, kebab platters, falafel, rice bowls, and wraps make up the core offerings. What stands out is consistency. I once brought a group of coworkers here on a busy Friday evening, and every plate came out hot, balanced, and exactly how it was ordered. That kind of reliability matters more than flashy presentation, especially for a grill-style restaurant.

One of my personal favorites is the lamb gyro platter. The meat is tender with crisp edges, paired with rice that’s fluffy instead of soggy and a salad that feels fresh, not like an afterthought. The tzatziki has a clean yogurt bite with enough garlic to keep things interesting without overpowering everything else. Friends who prefer chicken usually go for the chicken kebab, which stays juicy thanks to proper marination and grill timing, a technique often recommended by culinary professionals to prevent protein from drying out.

Reviews around Lynnwood often mention portion size, and that reputation is well earned. The plates are generous, making it a solid value for the price. I’ve noticed families splitting meals, while solo diners usually leave with leftovers. That balance between affordability and quality is something many neighborhood diners struggle to achieve, but this place manages it well.

Location-wise, it’s easy to reach and convenient for takeout. I’ve ordered pickup during lunch breaks, and the food holds up surprisingly well during the drive. The wraps stay intact, and the fries, when ordered, are seasoned enough to stay flavorful even after a few minutes. That speaks to thoughtful preparation rather than shortcuts.

From an expertise standpoint, the cooking reflects a solid understanding of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern grilling traditions. Proper spice balance, controlled heat, and fresh assembly are simple ideas, but they require discipline to execute consistently. While no restaurant is perfect, wait times can stretch during peak hours, and seating is limited, which is worth knowing ahead of time.

Overall, this diner-style grill delivers what it promises: honest food, a dependable menu, and a welcoming feel that keeps people coming back. The growing number of positive reviews isn’t surprising when you experience the care that goes into each plate, especially in a local spot that values flavor, process, and community just as much as speed.

Food was really awesome, great portion size for the meals. The meats(Chicken shawarma, lamb and beef) were cooked well good flavor. Also have to say the rice for the gyro plates was just so well flavored and on point. Can't wait to try this place again!

Excellent food for a decent price. The kabab skewers are fantastic! The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. I especially liked the decorative lamps. There is plenty of parking as well. I would come back here again.

This was our first visit here, and it will not be the last. We initially saw the Turkish Coffee set-up on the counter and had to give it a try. It was legitimate, and I was so glad we tried the food as well. The dolmades were really good and probably the best in the Lynnwood area. The soup, lamb gyros, and feel fries we all fantastic. This is definitely my new gyros place to go. Give it a try, and I know you'll love it too.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was outstanding. The team here is genuinely warm and welcoming—they went out of their way to make us feel at home. To our surprise, they even offered us a complimentary soup, and honestly, it was so flavorful and rich that it would have easily been worth $10 on its own. The kababs are truly next level -juicy, tender, and bursting with authentic spices that were perfectly balanced . You can immediately taste the difference because they use fresh, high-quality meat—not frozen. Every bite reminded us why this place stands out from the rest. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. Attentive, friendly, and never rushed—they made sure everything was just right. The ambience added to the charm: cozy, clean, and inviting, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for delicious kababs, Exceptional food, generous hospitality, and a warm atmosphere, I can’t recommend it enough. Definitely a 5-star spot—I’ll be coming back again soon!

My boyfriend and I ate dinner while we were in town for the weekend. So glad we chose this place. The customer service was very kind from the lady at the front desk. I ordered the half chicken plate, and my boyfriend got a euro. They were absolutely scrumptious!! All the food was perfectly flavorful, not over bearing and tasted light and fresh
